Privacy Policy

Writer's Room is a songwriting app made by Henri Audio. Your lyrics and ideas are personal and often unreleased, and we treat them that way. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the control you have. We've kept it in plain English.
What we collect
- Your account — your email address, the display name you choose, and a securely hashed password (we never see your actual password).
- Your work — the songs, lyrics, sections, concepts, private notes, and voice recordings you create in the app.
- Collaboration — when you invite someone to a room, we store that membership so you can write together.
- Feedback you send — anything you submit through the in-app feedback form.
- Basic technical info — your platform (e.g. iOS) and error logs, only to keep the app running reliably.
Your work is yours. We store it for one reason: so it's saved, backed up, synced across your devices, and shareable with the collaborators you choose. It stays private to you and the people you invite — we never sell it, never share it with anyone else, and never use it to train AI. You can delete any of it, or your whole account, at any time.
How we use it
- To run the app — save your work, sync it across your devices, and let you collaborate.
- To send you necessary emails (sign-up confirmation, password reset, collaboration invites).
- To send occasional product updates only if you opt in — you can unsubscribe anytime.
- To respond to your feedback and support requests, and to fix bugs and improve the app.
The writing help
Your words stay yours. When you use the writing help, the relevant lyrics and notes are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate suggestions back to you. Your content is never used to train AI models, and we never sell it. It's used only to answer your request, in that moment.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data or show ads. We share information only with the service providers that make the app work, and only as needed:
- Supabase — secure hosting, database, file storage, and sign-in.
- Anthropic — powers the writing help (see above; no training on your content).
- Resend — sends our emails.
- Apple & Expo — app distribution and updates.
- Datamuse — when you look up rhymes, only the single word you type is sent.
We may also disclose information if required by law.
Your control over your data
- Edit or delete any song, note, or recording at any time inside the app.
- Delete your account from Account → Settings. This permanently erases your account and all of your rooms, lyrics, notes, and recordings.

Keeping it safe
Your data is encrypted in transit, and access is locked down so you can only reach your own work and the rooms you've been invited to. We keep your information for as long as your account is active, and delete it when you delete your account.
Children
Writer's Room is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
